Clay Play pottery wheel workshops are suitable for children (aged 2 to young at heart). We will tailor the 3-hour program appropriately to the age of your child.
Activities include moulding the pieces into bowls, cups, plates, etc on the pottery wheel and decorating the items through the making and attaching of ornaments. Your child can further develop their motor and thinking skills, and pique their curiosity and creativity. Handbuilding and wheel-throwing in one class? Children indeed only get the best!
Children aged 7 years and below and individuals with special needs must be accompanied by 1 caregiver.
1 parent may accompany children 7 years and younger for free. If you would like to accompany your child and also make items of your own, you may sign up as 1 pax.
All workshops start with an introduction and tour of the art history and heritage of our dragon kiln.
Children typically make 1-2 pieces in 1 session.
Ceramic wares made will be completely usable and food-safe, after glazing and 2 rounds of firing in the kiln. They will be available for collection in 6-8 weeks.
